pSAT/NMSQT–Preliminary SAT
Overview of the pSAT/NMSQT Exam
pSAT (Preliminary SAT) is a standardized test that serves as a practice version of the SAT. It is administered by the College Board and is commonly taken by high school students. However, the exam is available to students in lower grades. Overall, the PSAT is a valuable tool for students aiming to improve their SAT performance/readiness and explore scholarship opportunities. Types of pSAT
pSAT/NMSQT: This is the most common version of the PSAT and is taken by 10th and 11th graders. It qualifies students for the National Merit Scholarship Program. PSAT 10: This version is similar to the PSAT/NMSQT but does not qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship Program. It is designed for 10th graders.
